• Approved a shorter timeline extension and smaller geographic expansion with Shotspotter than previously discussed. If approved by the full council, this action would extend the contract through 2026 and add the Loring Park area. Previously, the council was considering extending the contract through 2027 and adding a broader swath of South Minneapolis, including the Lowry Hill East and Whittier areas.
• Recommended reappointment for two sitting commissioners on the Civil Service Commission. The three-member commission functions as a third party for establishing rules for all aspects of city employment.
