  • Two legal settlement items related to Minneapolis Police Department misconduct were approved on Consent. CM Vetaw originally voted against these two settlements, but she changed her vote back to aye for the $110,000 settlement on the item concerning former MPD police officer Derek Chauvin.
  • CM Ellison removed one item from the consent agenda involving a $37,000 payment for water damage to a property caused by the City to landlord Mahmood Khan, a former landlord who lost 42 rental licenses and caused tenants to find new housing, wanting more time to review. Forwarded without recommendation to the full council on a 6-0 vote.
  • The syringe cleanup contract for $76,400 with A Mother’s Love is for a fourth year of this city-wide program. In prior years 15,000 needles were cleaned up.
