- Adopted the 2025-2026 budget recommendations for the Legislative Department, by a vote of 12-1, with Council Member Linea Palmisano voting no.
- Palmisano’s primary complaint with the proposal was the addition of a third policy aide for each ward office, arguing that this was not the right time to expand ward office budgets given the impending increases in property taxes.
- Discussed the City Council budget priorities for the Mayor’s 2025-2026 Recommended Budget and then postponed the item to the June 24 committee meeting for final action.
- Postponed a resolution amending the 2024 General Appropriation Resolution to redistribute Public Safety Aid to address critical needs to the June 24 committee meeting. This was at the request of the administration, which needed more time to refine the proposal.
