• Approved the termination of an agreement with North Memorial Health for the provision of medical care to the County’s residents in a 4-1 vote, with Commissioner Lunde voting against the item.
  • Last May, the board gave the County Administrator permission to negotiate an agreement that would entail the county paying North Memorial Health up to $48 million to provide care for low-income residents through December 2024. However, the county and hospital failed to agree on terms for the contract, commissioners said.
  • In May, commissioners praised the potential agreement as a way to reduce healthcare disparities in the county.
