The Board approved:

• Amendment to the agreement with Met Council and the Regional Railroad Authority (HCRRA) for the METRO Green Line Extension LRT Project, extending the end date to 1/31/2025 and increasing the grant amount by $100 million. The item passed with a 5-1 vote, with Commissioner Lunde being the dissenting vote.
• Dedication of the Municipal Building bell tower in downtown Minneapolis to Dr. Tony Hill, who passed away in August 2023. Dr. Hill was the founder of the Tower Bell Foundation and longtime leader of the bell chorus.
• Amendments to agreements regarding road improvements along Hennepin & 1st, the B Line, and University Ave & 4th St.
• Appointments for six Community Advisory Boards
• Several immediate approvals, including an amendment to the 2024 State Legislative Platform (in support of immigrant families) and honoring February as Black History Month.

The HCRRA voted on the amendment to the agreement with Met Council and Hennepin County, similarly to the County’s, a 5-1 vote.
