The Atlanta Regional Commission (ARC) coordinates transportation and planning efforts across the 11-county Metro Atlanta region.

It works with local jurisdictions and regional partners to develop healthy, livable communities, manage water resources, provide services for the aging and people with disabilities, develop a competitive workforce, help provide data and support to local leaders, coordinate with first responders on security, and engage the public on key regional issues.

The ARC Board is comprised of 41 members, including county commission chairs, designated mayors, and citizen representatives from the 11-county Atlanta region. A Georgia Department of Community Affairs representative also sits on the Board as a non-voting member.
