The Planning Commission approved:
- Adoption of staff findings for the relocation of Avenues for Youth (to 1400-1418 8th Ave N) with a 5-1 vote (Thompson dissenting). This will be a new three-story shelter providing temporary housing for about 20 young adults.
- Adoption of staff findings for a new three-story, 20-unit apartment building from New Life Properties at 3320 54th St E.
- Adoption of staff findings for a new community center and 36-unit apartment building at 2214-24 Bloomington Ave and 1510 E 23rd St by Mille Lacs Corporate Venture
- The final plat for a new, seven-story, mixed-use building with 100 units of affordable housing from the Project for Pride in Living at 3030 Nicollet Ave. The first floor is planned to include a bank, restaurant and community center.
- The preliminary and final plat for a new, four-story mixed-use building with dwelling units, shelter beds and a clinic at 2750 1st Ave. from Simpson Housing Services and Project for Pride in Living.
