Aaron Galeener, interim chief executive officer of health plan services, will present the health plan update presentation.
Membership is expected to grow and exceeds the set budget by approximately 50,000 individual memberships, according to Galeener. https://t.co/DtnZfaBJUu

Medicaid coverage has expanded in certain areas, such as Medicare coverage for members 55+ according to Galeener.
Continued focus areas of the health plan services includes marketing and finance initiatives. These will be elaborated on in upcoming slides.
There are areas on the South and West sides that have areas for growth, Galeener says. Interventions based on attrition areas will take place to make network changes. The goal is to encourage growth in health services.
Around $45-50 million has gone towards initiatives since 2020. Those completed initiatives are outlined here: https://t.co/sNZNMaqKcn
Utilization and outcomes are now being covered. Galeener says to keep in mind this data does not include any risk, which hopefully will be included in upcoming published data. https://t.co/2xmff9ReVV
Additional comparisons include pharmacy scripts. This trend shows slower utilization than the year prior. This shows that increasing membership includes lower utilization of services from newer members Galeener says.

Part is due to the demographic. More younger adults and kids are coming into the plan. This trend can be attributed to lower health concerns among younger individuals compared to an older demographic, Galeener responds.
Moving on to CountyCare Covid vaccination rates. Around 40% of vaccine eligible members received at least 1 dose of the vaccine. This is lower than the city wide vaccination rate, but is somewhat higher among member counts. https://t.co/9ZQIntrJhX
Galeener elaborates on vaccine incentives and initiatives. Starting Aug 1 members can receive $25 loaded to their OTC card if they receive at least 1 vaccine dose. https://t.co/FczRHHSvVU
Vaccine incentives are taking place nationwide. They may help increase vaccination numbers, but some say otherwise. Read more here:

Attempts to drive sales leads during open enrollment is underway, Galeener explains. Sales within different facilities aim to drive sales growth as well (see CSNP, ISNP and ESNP) rows. https://t.co/5Bxh04vXRG
Galeener also says there is lots of room for network growth. Three areas that will be closely monitored for growth is chiropractor, orthopedic surgery and radiation oncology. https://t.co/gvW2BBFMZu
