Current board members: Zachary Smith Howard, president Dawn A. Downer, vice president Larry J. Walker, secretary Beth Yoder, board member Ryan Donovan, board member

President Howard carried a motion with a 5-1 vote by the Franklin Township School Board after the Pledge of Allegiance.

The board approved a resolution that would transfer interest and grant a utility easement. This utility easement was categorized as a public hearing; however, no one spoke on that specific matter.

Board member Dawn A. Downer discussed the Central Nine reports and their efforts with high school students. Central Nine is known for working with students interested in trades and apprenticeships. The motion carried, all in favor.

Board member Ryan Donovan discussed the FTEF Report item. The report was effective and to the point.

Action Items included: a) 2nd Reading and Approval of Police Department Policy Updates - motion passed b) Approve Resolution for Supplemental Pay for EBC (Emotion Behavior Challenges) Teachers - motion passed c) Approval OnBoard Contract - motion passed

Action Items included (CONT): d) Approve the Annual Educational Audiology Services Contract - motion passed e) Approve the Lilly Endowment Phase Grant Support Proposal - motion passed f) Approve Strategic Plan - motion passed

Dr. Lynlie Schoene, who discussed Action Item d), stated that the contractor had done well in previous years. The reason why the EARS contract motioned this year is due to its success with students and the school.

The board meeting overall went smoothly and was short, yet manageable. Summer reports and meetings are slow, but are still essential for Franklin Township.

While the meeting started at standard 6:00 PM, the board adjourned at 6:30 PM. A quick meeting.
