Lightfoot's Sexual Harassment Ordinance, CHER informational packet and an anti-LGBT violence rally at Federal Plaza

Next speaker is Butch Trusty. He represents a fe different LGBT+ groups. He mentions that one of the groups that he represents is trying to establish a hotline for emergencies that do not require the police.

Butch is sure to mention that on April 27th at 5 p.m. at Federal Plaza there is to be a rally in support of anti-LGBT violence and legislation that is being passed.

Esther Nieves spoke on the Mayor’s office of Racial Equity. She was brief.

The next speaker is Marquis Miller, a veterans rights advocate. His groups is currently focusing on a Veteran’s Day rally. There is going to be collaboration from the Mayor and the First Lady. He is very excited for his group.

There is no representative for the office of Women’s Equality. And Esther Nieves brings up how the city of Chicago has responded to the war in Ukraine.

Nancy Andrade reassures her that the city has already begun reaching out to alder-people that have Ukrainians and Russians in case that there is a spike in hate crimes surrounding this conflict.
