Mayoral and aldermanic candidate forums are hosted by a range of organizations from civic, community and educational groups to nonprofits and advocacy networks. The city of Chicago will hold general elections for mayor, city clerk, city treasurer, and all 50 aldermanic seats on the City Council on February 26, 2019. If no candidate receives a majority of votes (i.e. more than 50 percent), a runoff election will be held on April 2, 2019.
